Acceptable Use

Digital Learning Policy

At Al Byan Group of Institutes, we prioritize proactive care, upholding robust welfare standards to prevent and swiftly counter harm. Whether vulnerabilities arise within our campuses or across wider communities, our operational frameworks draw directly upon international human rights protocols, regional safeguarding laws, and proven protection models to ensure comprehensive support for every youth under our watch.

Technology plays an integral role in preparing students for an evolving world. At Albyan Group of Institutes, we integrate digital tools to enrich academic engagement, foster collaborative problem-solving, and cultivate responsible digital citizenship.

This policy establishes standards for safe, ethical, and productive use of all institutional devices, networks, and online platforms.

Digital Learning Vision

Our digital environment is designed to empower learners. Technology at Albyan is provided to support dynamic coursework, bridge communication between faculty and students, and equip every learner with modern practical skills within a secure, moderated infrastructure.

Core Student Responsibilities

Every student using campus networks, school-issued devices, or personal hardware on premises must adhere to the following standards:

  • Academic Focus: Utilize hardware, software, and internet connectivity solely for sanctioned educational tasks.

  • Privacy & Respect: Protect your own sensitive information and respect the digital property, accounts, and privacy of others.

  • Account Integrity: Keep all institutional login credentials private; never share passwords or access another individual’s account.

  • Active Vigilance: Promptly notify a teacher, administrator, or IT staff member upon encountering suspicious behavior, system vulnerabilities, or inappropriate material.

  • Institutional Alignment: Maintain conduct consistent with the school code of ethics at all times, both online and offline.

Core Student Responsibilities

At Al Byan Group of Institutes, students are expected to engage in authorized academic work by conducting research, submitting coursework, and developing digital portfolios, while strictly refraining from plagiarism, unauthorized use of AI-generated content, or commercial exploitation. Institutional communication channels must remain professional and dedicated to collaboration with peers, instructors, and staff, maintaining zero tolerance for cyberbullying, hate speech, harassment, impersonation, or offensive media. Regarding system security, access is limited to approved educational portals and institutional platforms; any attempts to bypass web filters, install unauthorized software, or breach network systems are entirely prohibited. Furthermore, network bandwidth and multimedia tools are reserved exclusively for instructional streams and essential class downloads, prohibiting recreational gaming, personal entertainment streaming, and peer-to-peer file sharing.

Student Safety & Cybersecurity Rules

  1. Think Before You Post: Digital footprints are lasting. Never transmit defamatory, profane, or inappropriate messages, photos, or media.

  2. Safeguard Personal Data: Never publicly share full names, phone numbers, residential addresses, or personal financial details.

  3. Lock Down Access: Always log out of shared devices after each session. Notify the administration immediately if you suspect your account is compromised.

  4. Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Any action designed to intimidate, isolate, or demean another person digitally will be treated as an immediate disciplinary priority.

Policy Enforcement & Consequences

Access to Albyan’s digital systems is a privilege, not an entitlement. Violations of this policy are reviewed by administration based on severity and frequency, potentially leading to:

  • Immediate suspension or permanent revocation of school network and device privileges

  • Academic or formal behavioral probation and detention

  • Mandatory parental conferences and notification

  • Repair or replacement fees for intentional hardware or network damage

  • Escalation to legal authorities in cases of severe infractions or statutory violations

Partnership with Parents & Guardians

Safe digital habits require active collaboration between school and home. We encourage parents to:

  • Establish balanced, consistent guidelines for screen time and device use at home.

  • Maintain open dialogues regarding internet safety, social media, and digital etiquette.

  • Periodically review school-related digital activity and institutional portals.

  • Reach out to administrative staff promptly if any safety concerns or questions arise.
